  3. This Lamech (there is another recorded in Genesis 5:28-31) was a son of Methushael, a descendant of Cain.  He is the first man recorded to take two wives, named Adah and Zillah.  Lamech also murdered a man and boasted of it to his wives (cf. Gen. 4:18-24).
